How to do it

Open the tool you need
You're reading this while connected — that's the only time you need a connection. Open the tool once so your browser saves it, then you're set.

Turn on airplane mode — then check Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
Use your phone, tablet or laptop's own switch. On many laptops, and on some phones, airplane mode doesn't switch Wi-Fi or Bluetooth off on its own — so if the instrument still shows a connection, turn Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off by hand. The moment the connection is really gone, the needle drops to zero and the instrument reads Offline. That reading is your signal it worked.

Use the tool as normal
Add your file, process it, download the result. Everything happens on the device in your hand — nothing is sent anywhere, because there is nowhere to send it.
Sometimes airplane mode isn't enough on its own. On many laptops — and on a few phones — the airplane button leaves Wi-Fi or Bluetooth running. If the instrument still shows a connection, switch Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off yourself. When the connection is truly gone the needle drops to zero and the instrument reads Offline, and that reading is the proof.
Why this is proof, not a promise
There is no connection to send anything through. With airplane mode on, your device has no route to the internet — so a file can't be uploaded even if something tried.
The tool still gives you a finished file. If the work gets done while you're offline, the work was done on your device. That's the whole proof.
